Extent of Personal Data Processing

In general, we process personal data of our users exclusively for providing a functional website as well as our contents and services to an extent which is necessary.

The processing of personal data of our users is performed regularly only after the user´s consent. Exempt from this are such cases, where a prior obtainment of consent is not possible for factual reasons and the data processing is authorized by statutory provisions.

Legal Basis for Personal Data Processing

Insofar as we obtain the consent of the data subject for the processing procedures of personal data, art. 6, para. 1 lit. a EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) serves as a legal basis.

When personal data is being processed, which is necessary for the performance of a contract, whose contracting party is the data subject, art. 6, para. 1 lit. b EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) serves as a legal basis. This also applies for processing procedures which are necessary for implementing measures prior to entering into a contract.

Insofar as a processing of personal data is necessary for the fulfillment of a legal obligation, which our company is subject to, art. 6, para. 1 lit. c EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) serves as a legal basis.

In case vital interests of the data subject or of a different natural person require a processing of personal data, art. 6, para. 1 lit. d EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) serves as a legal basis.

If the processing is necessary for the protection of a legitimate interest of our company or of a third party, and if the interests, fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject do not prevail over the former interest, art. 6, para. 1 lit. f EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) serves as a legal basis for the processing.

Erasure of Data and Retention Period

The personal data of the data subject are erased or blocked as soon as the purpose of the retention falls away. A retention beyond this can be done, in case this has been provided for by the European or national legislator in directions of Union law, regulations or other legal rules the controller is subject to. Furthermore, a blocking or an erasure of the data is also performed if a retention period prescribed by the named norms runs out, unless there is a necessity for a further retention of the data for the purpose of contract conclusion or execution of a contract.

Description and Extent of Data Processing in Cookies

Our website uses cookies. Cookies are text files, which are stored in or by the web browser on the user´s computer system. When a user calls up a website, a cookie can be stored on the operating system of the user. This cookie contains a characteristic string, which makes an unambiguous identification of the browser possible when the website is called up again.

We apply cookies to make our website more user-friendly. Some elements of our website require the calling browser to be identified also after a change of the web page.

In the process the language settings are stored in the cookies and transmitted.

Purpose of Data Processing

The purpose of using technically necessary cookies is to simplify the use of websites for the users. Some functions of our website cannot be offered without the use of cookies. For these it is necessary that the browser is recognized also after a change of the web page.

The user data collected by the technically necessary cookies are not used for the creation of user profiles.

In these purposes our legitimate interest in processing the personal data in accordance with art. 6, para. 1 lit. f EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is based.

Retention Period, Possibility of Objection and Possibility of Erasure

Cookies are stored on the user´s computer, and from there they are transmitted to our page. For this reason, you, as a user, have the full power over the use of cookies. By changing the configuration in your web browser, you can disable or restrict the transmission of cookies. Cookies already stored can be erased any time. This can also be performed in an automated way. If cookies are disabled for our website, it is possible that not all of the website´s functions remain usable to their full extent.

Description and Extent of Data Processing in Server Logfiles

With each call up of our website, our system records data and information from the calling computer system in an automated way.

In this process, the following data are collected:

  • Browser type and browser version
  • Operating system in use
  • Referrer URL
  • Hostname of the accessing computer
  • Time of server inquiry

The data are stored in the logfiles of our system. These data are not stored together with other personal data of the user.

The legal basis for this temporary storage of this data and logfiles is art. 6, para. 1 lit. f EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Purpose of Data Processing

The temporary storage of the IP address by the system is necessary for delivering the website to the user´s computer. For this purpose, the user´s IP address must remain stored for the duration of a session.

The storage in logfiles is performed in order to ensure the functioning of the website. Furthermore, the data serve us to optimize the website and to ensure the security of our IT systems. There will be no evaluation of the data for marketing purposes in this connection.

In these purposes our legitimate interest in the data processing in accordance with art. 6, para. 1 lit. f EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is based.

Retention Period

The data are erased as soon as they are no longer required for achieving the purpose of their collection. If the data is collected for providing the website, this is the case when the particular session is terminated.

If the data are stored in logfiles, this is the case after seven days at the latest. A storage beyond this period is possible. In this case the IP-addresses of the users are erased or altered, so that a tracking of the calling client is no longer possible.

Possibility of Objection and Possibility of Deletion

The collection of the data for providing the website and the storage of the data in logfiles is absolutely essential for operating the website. Accordingly, there is no possibility of objection on the part of the user.

Google Analytics

This website uses the service "Google Analystics" offered by Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA) on basis of our legitimate interest to optimize and analyse our website in accordance with art. 6 para. 1 lit. f. GDPR. The service Google Analytics uses Cookies (see also above). The data collected by these Cookies are normally transferred to and saved on a Google server in the USA.
